- Nicky Zimmermann Redefines Nostalgia in Her Latest Collection
Photos Disclosure Zimmermann Nicky Zimmermann, with her three decades of expertise in the fashion industry, masterfully intertwines historical influences with modern aesthetics. Her resort 2023 collection drew from the ’50s and ’60s, and the fall 2024 line echoed the spirit of the ’70s. For her latest endeavor, Zimmermann reminisced about her design school days in Sydney during the ’80s, an era marked by Molly Ringwald’s Hollywood stardom. She reflected on her time spent scouring vintage shops for pink dresses, lace outfits, and old suits, using these cherished memories as the cornerstone of her new collection. Zimmermann’s signature use of lace takes on a fresh, innovative twist this season. She collaborated with an artist to reinterpret lace as a print, featuring whimsical icons like lipsticks and love hearts. These hand-drawn elements were digitized and printed onto airy, transparent organza, creating a mesmerizing trompe l’oeil effect. Floral prints, a hallmark of Zimmermann’s collections, were present but with a new twist. This time, she incorporated a leopard motif, harkening back to her debut collection’s bold patterns. "Leopard print works hand-in-hand with floral. It may not always appear in my shows, but it’s deeply ingrained in the brand’s DNA," Zimmermann explained. A surprising addition to this collection was the introduction of sneakers, crafted with the same delicate lace fabric used in the clothing. These sneakers added a touch of relaxed elegance to the otherwise opulent and intricate designs, showcasing Zimmermann’s skill in balancing practicality with high fashion. The collection as a whole reflects the intersection of city and beach life, while also exploring moments where thoughts, actions, and emotions seamlessly converge. Zimmermann’s designs are increasingly aligned with a street-savvy aesthetic, presenting fluid silhouettes and relaxed fits that resonate with the urban landscapes of Sydney and beyond.

- Ana Lefroy: The Inspiring Journey of a Global Model
‘MODEL’ COVER EDITION - JUNE 24 ISSUE Photo and Make: @rabyfotografia Production: @encantare_cerimonial Design Director Hooks: @mathlopes Ana Clara, better known as Ana Lefroy, graces the cover of the special "MODEL" edition of Hooks Magazine. At just 20 years old, she has already achieved a prominent position in the fashion world, not only because of her striking beauty but also due to her resilience and determination. In our exclusive interview, Ana shared fascinating details about her journey from the early steps of her career to her future ambitions. Ana Lefroy's path in the international fashion world began at 17 when she embarked on her first work trip to India. Without knowing how to speak English, Ana faced an intense culture shock as she encountered a country with customs, language, and cuisine completely different from those in Brazil. Initially, the adaptation was challenging, but the experience turned into a true life lesson. During almost a year in India, Ana not only learned English but also developed a resilience and independence that continue to shape her career. The experience in the Asian country taught her to be more receptive to cultural differences, a lesson she proudly carries with her to this day. Among the numerous destinations Ana has visited throughout her career, Thailand stands out as the most memorable. Fascinated by the lush nature and paradisiacal beaches, Ana found a perfect blend of work and pleasure in the country. The warm hospitality of the Thai people, the delicious cuisine, and the stunning landscapes created an unforgettable experience. Each day in Thailand was a new adventure, whether exploring islands or participating in cultural festivals, and the country secured a special place in her heart. Ana left her hometown in the interior of Minas Gerais, Brazil, at the age of 14 to pursue her dream in São Paulo. The transition to metropolitan life was marked by homesickness, which she combated by keeping herself busy with work and studying new languages. Learning Spanish and French not only helped her cope with loneliness but also enriched her career, allowing her to communicate better during her international travels. The intense routine of work and study was crucial for her adaptation and growth, preparing her for future challenges. Now read the interview with the model: 1: Ana, how was your first work trip as a commercial model at 17? What were your first impressions and challenges? It was very challenging. I didn’t know English, so it was completely different from anything I had ever experienced. I went to India, where the culture is entirely different from what I was used to. It felt like another world [laughs], everything was very different from Brazil. At first, I felt a huge culture shock, from the customs to the language and food. However, over time, I managed to adapt well. I stayed there for almost a year, and this experience was like a school for me. I learned English, got to know new cultures, and developed resilience and independence that I carry with me to this day. Additionally, the experience taught me to be more open and receptive to cultural differences, which I consider a great life lesson. 2: You have been traveling for work since you were 17. What has been the most memorable destination you have visited and why? The most memorable destination so far has been Thailand, a true paradise! I love nature and beaches, and everything there is so much fun. The people are welcoming, always smiling and willing to help. The food, though different, is delicious and very fresh, with unique flavors I had never experienced before. The landscapes are stunning, with crystal-clear waters and majestic temples. Each day in Thailand was a new adventure, from exploring islands to participating in cultural festivals. I loved every moment and have a strong desire to return and relive this incredible experience. Thailand truly holds a special place in my heart. 3: When leaving home at 14 to go to São Paulo, how did you deal with homesickness and adapt to a new city and countries? To deal with homesickness, I kept my mind occupied by working every day, even on Sundays. The constant work helped me focus on something different and keep my mind active. Additionally, I used my free time to study other languages, such as Spanish and French. This not only helped me distract myself but also added value to my career as a model, allowing me to communicate better in different countries. Studying foreign languages became a hobby that brought me many benefits, both personally and professionally. This intense routine of work and study was essential for my adaptation and growth during my travels. 4: What is the biggest difference between working in São Paulo and in the interior of Minas Gerais (BR)? How have these experiences shaped your career? The appreciation for the modeling profession varies greatly depending on the location. Coming from a rural area where a makeup job would typically pay only 50 reais, to a city that truly sees modeling as a profession that needs to be valued, the difference is enormous. In São Paulo, for instance, the modeling profession is much more recognized and respected. There's a professional structure in place that includes agencies, events, and a support network that facilitates career growth. This appreciation made me realize the importance of my work and motivated me to dedicate myself even more. Additionally, working in an environment where the profession is taken seriously provided me with learning opportunities and growth that I wouldn't have found elsewhere. 5: Traveling frequently can be exhausting. What are your strategies for maintaining a balance between work and personal well-being during Brazilian and international trips? Traveling frequently can be very draining, both physically and emotionally, but the fact that I'm exploring a new place always brings that exciting feeling. The idea of "I'm going to work, but I'm also going to discover a new place and new cultures" motivates me a lot. I'm fascinated by traveling, meeting people, and learning about each country. Every new destination is an opportunity for personal and professional growth. I try to maintain balance by reminding myself that, despite the fatigue, it will be worth it because I'll be enjoying my passion: my work combined with the pleasure of exploring different countries. This positive mindset and passion for discovering the new are what help me overcome fatigue and continue traveling with enthusiasm. 6: Among so many trips, is there a place you still dream of visiting or working as a model? What attracts you to this specific destination? I have a big dream of visiting Tokyo! For me, after Dubai, Tokyo is like the second "center" of the world. It's a city full of people, with a culture very different from ours, and I want to learn all about it. I love Japanese food, which is my favorite! I want to visit the beautiful landscapes, the temples, learn more about the cuisine, and obviously, learn the language, even though I know it's difficult. Tokyo fascinates me with its blend of tradition and modernity, with futuristic skyscrapers alongside historic temples. Additionally, Japanese pop culture, with its anime and unique fashion, also attracts me a lot. I want to experience the vibrant energy of the city, explore its iconic neighborhoods, and immerse myself in the rich Japanese culture. This trip would be the fulfillment of a dream and an invaluable opportunity for personal and professional growth.

- Caroline Tozaki: The Miss who shines on the cover of Hooks Magazine
‘BRAZIL’ COVER EDITION - JUNE 24 ISSUE Photos: Vanessa Deleu ( Credit passed by the model ) Model: Caroline Tozaki - @caroltozaki Design Director: @mathlopes Today, Hooks Magazine is pleased to unveil the 'BRAZIL' edition, starring the illustrious model and Miss, Caroline Tozaki. From her humble beginnings to becoming Miss Brazil and later Miss International, Caroline's journey is nothing short of inspiring. Caroline Tozaki's path to success was filled with challenges. As a young Black woman from modest origins, her dream of becoming a Miss seemed distant. However, her determination to make her family proud propelled her through numerous obstacles and rejections. Her journey showcases an unwavering pursuit of dreams against all odds. Preparation played a crucial role in Caroline's success in beauty pageants. From a young age, she dedicated herself to being ready for any opportunity that might arise. Her advice to aspiring pageant contestants is to always be prepared and proactive in creating opportunities. Physical preparation, effective communication, and most importantly, mental and spiritual well-being are essential components of her preparation strategy. Surrounding herself with supportive people and being in the right environment were pivotal in her journey. Caroline believes that being a Miss goes beyond physical appearance. For her, it's about representing her country and advocating for meaningful causes. She is a strong advocate for inclusion and uses her platform to address the lack of representation of Black individuals in prominent positions in Brazil. Her mission is to change this narrative, and she has worked tirelessly to promote this cause. CHECK OUT AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE MODEL: 1: Caroline, how has your journey been from the beginning of your modeling career to becoming Miss Brazil and later Miss International? What were the biggest challenges you faced? The journey was not easy but it was worth it. Imagine a Black girl, below the modeling standard height, from a simple family dreaming of becoming a beauty queen; it was a distant dream, let alone Miss International. However, my main goal was to make my family proud, especially my parents. So I faced all the obstacles, all the "no's," and continued on my journey. 2: Participating in beauty contests requires a lot of physical and emotional preparation. How did you prepare for these competitions and what advice would you give to other young women who wish to follow the same path? Since this was my biggest dream, I've been preparing for it forever. I didn't know exactly when it would happen, but I always dedicated myself. And that's the advice I give to everyone. Always be ready, and don't wait for the opportunity. Make it happen! There are many ways to prepare, physically, verbally, but the most important thing is psychologically. If you know what you want and your mental and spirituality are well, you can go far. So, invest in physical activities, surround yourself with good people, be in the right place, all of this helped me and can help you. 3: Being Miss Brazil and Miss International is not just about beauty, but also about representing a country and important causes. What are the causes you support the most and how have you worked to promote these causes? I believe that what made me win this title was not my beauty. Miss is not about BEING, it's about SERVING. You have a platform, and my platform is inclusion. It's the inclusion of everyone. In our current Brazilian context, we don't see Black people assuming important positions, like a Miss, a presenter, a president, a director. And that needs to change. So I used my space, which was very difficult to conquer, to speak up for this cause. 4: Looking back, what would you say was the most memorable or emotional moment of your journey as Miss? All moments are important; they are what brought me here. However, representing my country in Asia, being able to show the world who we are, a bit of our culture, our joy of living, was emotional. I wasn't there as Carol; I was there as Brazil. And hearing people cheering, shouting 'Brazil, Brazil'... was unforgettable! 5: How do you deal with the pressure and expectations that come with the titles of Miss Brazil and Miss International? What strategies do you use to maintain mental and emotional health? The pressure is quite significant, but today I'm more concerned with showing who I truly am. The Carol who is a friend, daughter, dedicated, and cheerful. Being able to show that I can be divided into several 'Carols'. The Miss Carol who has responsibilities, who inspires other women, other girls. But also the everyday Carol. So, when I understood that I needed to be myself and have this balance, I started not to pay so much attention to criticism and pressure. That helps me a lot. 6: Besides being a beauty queen, what are your future goals and projects that you are eager to accomplish? Is there something in particular you would like to achieve or experience in the coming years? I have many dreams that I still want to achieve, and I'm working hard to make them come true. I've always loved art; art inspires and can change lives. I'm studying theater; as I mentioned before, I'm preparing to create my own opportunity, haha. In the future, God willing, acting would be one of my biggest dreams!

- Chanel Launches Limited Edition of Chanel Nº5 L’EAU: Fresher and More Contemporary
Photos Disclosure CHANEL Portraits captured by @nicolaskantor With this limited edition, N°5 breaks free for the first time from its historical bottle and reinterprets the most legendary drop in the history of CHANEL perfume. It’s a surprising experience with a minimalist glass bottle design, like a drop of perfume, whose transparency reflects purity. N°5 L’EAU, the freshest and most contemporary version of N°5, with its signature of citrus and vibrant woods, materializes with simplicity and nonchalance in this object of desire. A glass drop that encapsulates all the strong and paradoxical emotions of N°5 and the woman who wears it. Composition Less abstract than its predecessors, the composition of N°5 L’EAU makes the citrus notes radiate. At the forefront, lemon, mandarin, and orange are elevated to the sky by aldehydes. In a second breath, we perceive an abundance of flowers. The rose blends with airy jasmine and a fraction of ylang-ylang, more modern than ever. Behind this floral whirlwind lies an unprecedented nervousness for N°5, born from vetiver and cedar accompanied by sweet musk notes. N°5 has never been so fresh. Inspiration The inspiration is the audacity and freedom of Olivier Polge, Perfumer-Creator of Maison CHANEL, who reinvented N°5 in 2016, utilizing each material to understand its true role and create a new balance: an ideal of freshness called N°5 L'EAU. It is also the impertinence, the freedom, of a bottle that breaks free from conventions to assume the elliptical lines of a drop and proclaim a manifesto of design and modernity. It is the essence of its time in all its freshness, simplicity, and vitality. The Art of Perfume The limited edition N°5 L’EAU is the experience of a perfume that is worn freely. Without prejudice. Instinctively. Simply. Excessively. Day. Night. For yourself. For others. The ritual? No ritual. N°5 L’EAU is worn non-stop. Spray on the skin or inside clothing in a spontaneous, carefree, and generous gesture. Reapply as desired.

Hailing from Brazil, Nathália Berganton Picolo, known artistically as Nathália Berganton, brings with her a story of determination, talent, and a journey of success. Just a year ago, she took her first steps into the world of fashion, and since then, it has been a meteoric rise for this young star. Her transition into the fashion industry was marked by a quick adaptation and a natural ability to stand out. With a magnetic gaze and a captivating presence, Nathália has captured the attention of renowned brands and influential designers from the early stages of her career. Photo: Danilo Friedl - @danilofriedlfotografia Nathália had the privilege of collaborating with iconic brands, both in Brazil and internationally. Her journey included work with brands like Luna Beauty and Isaac Silva, showcasing her versatility and elegance with every step. However, it was her venture into the international scene that truly put her in the spotlight. With tempting offers from exotic destinations like India and Egypt, Nathália chose Dubai as her springboard to global recognition. During a transformative three-month stay, she captured hearts and minds, participating in high-profile events, luxury brand photoshoots, and even an exclusive photoshoot for the renowned Palazzo Versace. Yet, Nathália Berganton is much more than a talented model; she is a complete artist. Her background as a professional ballet dancer adds a unique dimension to her presence on the runway, infusing every movement with grace and elegance. Photo: Danilo Friedl - @danilofriedlfotografia Check out the interview with Nathália: 1: Nathália, you started your career as a model a year ago. How was this transition into the fashion world, and what were the biggest challenges you faced at the beginning? The transition I made into the fashion world was a huge milestone for my life and my career. Fashion is ever-changing, and we need to be alert to the trends that are coming. Furthermore, I had to learn new techniques and methods to fit into the profile of both commercial and runway models that clients desire. The biggest challenges I encountered at the beginning of my career were regarding height and being a 19-year-old new face in the market. Typically, brands require modeling experience so that models can be trained to perform shootings with quality and perfect delivery. Regarding height, they usually demand that the model, consequently for the runway, be over 1.75cm to maintain alignment in the show, the famous "runway standard height." Photo: Leandro Ramos - @lramos79 2: You had the opportunity to work with renowned brands like Luna Beauty and walk for Isaac Silva here in Brazil. How did these experiences shape your career and what did they mean to you? The Brazilian brands I worked with brought significant growth, where I gradually gained the trust of clients through the material I obtained with both. With Luna Beauty, a makeup brand, I created a lot of content for social media and the brand's product catalog. Through them, other clients got to know me and acquired my contact for makeup and skincare work as well. As for Isaac Silva, it was a challenge. I participated in my first runway show, which took place at Cidade Jardim Shopping, where I was invited to represent the brand. It was very gratifying because even being a model of 1.72cm tall, I managed to fit into the client's profile and gain greater visibility, showing that I am capable of walking the runway, as well as working in the commercial field. Photo: Leandro Ramos - @lramos79 3: Your international career took off with offers from India, Egypt, and Dubai, where you decided to go. What influenced your choice for Dubai and how was that three-month experience there? My choice was to go to the United Arab Emirates where, from January to April 2024, I stayed in Dubai working as a commercial model. I received various clients for makeup brands, skincare, local clothing, runway shows, photoshoots for luxury hotels, music videos for international singers, summer campaigns, and Valentine's Day campaigns. I chose this country because of the excellent visibility of job opportunities and because I fit the profile requested in the region. It was an immeasurable experience, full of learning and personal and professional growth. Furthermore, I networked with many people and diverse brands to ensure that my portfolio and material are comprehensive, opening up a wide range of national and international work opportunities. As I always say, "who has the 'QI,' has everything" (QI meaning "who indicates," that is, those who have recommendations/contacts can reach the top). What was the most memorable moment of this experience and why? The work I did for Versace was a personal and professional achievement, due to the admiration I have for the brand. The most memorable moments I had during this photoshoot were when I arrived and was welcomed by the marketing team at Palazzo Versace, caring and joyful individuals who were always attentive to our professionalism and well-being. The second memorable moment was when we were shooting at the hotel's spa. I had a photoshoot while enjoying chocolate-covered strawberries, champagne, and a massage in the bathtub... truly delightful. I would definitely do it all over again; it was an incredible and unforgettable experience. How does ballet influence your modeling career, and what have you learned from this art that you apply in your professional life? Ballet indirectly influences me as a model, as on the runways, we must act with posture and quality in our strides; our feet, legs, and back need to be strong to avoid injury. In the commercial realm, many brands ask models to innovate while being photographed. The way I handle this is by dancing while being photographed, creating interconnected movements to form a pose that satisfies the client. This ensures a 100% professional and fun delivery because it reminds me of ballet. How did this achievement affect your career, and what do you hope to achieve from it? This achievement directly impacted my career because through the competition, bikini brands, hotels, clothing brands, and others liked my profile and hired me for more work. This allowed me to build a diverse portfolio. From this experience, I aim to secure more jobs and proposals in other countries, showing everyone that regardless of color, gender, religion, identity, height, or beliefs, we are all capable of achieving our dreams and aspirations for the future. So, don't give up. "No pain, no gain."
