Twelve years ago, the French luxury beauty brand, Lancôme, launched the iconic amber floral gourmand fragrance, La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum, establishing itself as a fragrance icon. Now, the brand presents a new and extraordinary creation: La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire Eau de Parfum. In this new olfactory encounter, Lancôme's iconic perfume incorporates the Maison's emblematic flower and provides a sensory experience from fragrance to bottle.
The bright Floral Amber Woody fragrance co-created by master perfumers from IFF (International Flavor & Fragrances) Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, and Caroline Dumur, La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire expands the signature of the original Eau De Parfum through a synergy of three unique roses: the first is rosewater, evoking freshness and naturalness; the Damask Rose absolute, conveying intensity and sensuality; and a space rose accord capturing the scent of a rose cultivated in a zero-gravity environment. This extraordinary note brings new facets to Lancôme's symbolic flower, revealing its purity and radiance.
"The ozone facets of the space rose bring a new dimension to the floral heart. Something unique," says Caroline Dumur. Bringing together the beauty of nature with the future of innovation, these three roses merge into a new floral addiction: the extraordinary rose that blossoms at the heart of this new composition.
"This Extraordinary variation maintains the codes of La Vie Est Belle, a gourmand iris. We reinterpreted this accord to make it more radiant, modern, and with an extra touch of magic," says Anne Flipo.
True to the olfactory identity of the iconic house fragrance, La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire opens with a burst of naturalness: a vegetal accord illuminates the floral heart alongside citrusy bergamot. The gourmand base notes - the signature of La vie est belle itself - are textured by the velvety elegance of moss and underlined by the woody addiction of ambroxan. "We chose moss and ambroxan for their enveloping effect," says Dominique Ropion. "They bring something different to La vie est belle, creating a complex and warm base."
