In Roberta Budel’s story, aesthetics does not begin in the mirror. It begins with care. This starting point helps explain why, in her work, transformation does not necessarily mean changing, but rather finding ways to enhance what is already there.

Before RB Clinic, there was nursing. It was through this first professional choice that Roberta developed a way of looking at others that she would carry into aesthetics: every person arrives with their own expectations, experiences, and individual relationship with their image.

This perspective remains at the heart of the way she works. Rather than following trends or pursuing standardized results, Roberta is interested in understanding what makes sense for each patient. It is an approach that requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the discernment to recognize that not every possibility needs to become an intervention.

Education has always played an important role in this journey. In a field that is constantly evolving through research, technologies, and new approaches, continuing to study is part of professional responsibility. Her curiosity about science and what remains to be discovered continues to shape a career built on the pursuit of knowledge.

As RB Clinic grew, Roberta also had to expand her role. The challenges of clinical practice were joined by decisions involving management, team building, processes, and positioning. Building a company brought a new perspective: it was no longer enough to provide excellent care in every appointment. She also needed to create a structure capable of translating those same principles into the experience of everyone who walks through the clinic’s doors.

The team grew, the organization took shape, and the brand developed its own identity while continuing to carry the values and references of its founder. Throughout this process, Roberta also had to learn to delegate, share responsibilities, and see the business beyond the daily routine of patient appointments.

The experience gained through practice remains fundamental, but it now exists alongside other areas of expertise, from leadership to long-term vision. Growth is no longer simply a matter of technical improvement; it also involves people, decisions, and the structure that sustains what has been built.

Today, her interests extend to areas such as longevity, regeneration, and innovation, as well as the challenges of leading a constantly evolving company. These may be different fields, but they are connected by the same curiosity: understanding what is changing and what may make sense for the future of RB Clinic.

Looking back at this journey, there is a thread connecting the professional who began in nursing to the entrepreneur who built her own clinic. The responsibilities have changed, her knowledge has expanded, and her work has taken on new dimensions. The care, however, has remained.

Roberta Budel: When Transformation Begins with Care

Perhaps this is what refinement means to Roberta in its most personal sense: looking closely, recognizing what can be improved, and making precise choices without losing sight of what makes each person unique.

RB Clinic continues to grow, as do the horizons of its founder. And although the path has changed since her early years in nursing, something from that initial choice remains present in everything that has followed.

Roberta Budel: When Transformation Begins with Care

It is from this perspective that Roberta speaks about the decisions that have brought her to this point, the principles that guide her work, and what she still hopes to build.

1. Your professional background began in nursing, a profession deeply connected to care. What did that choice leave with you, and which of those lessons still shape the professional and entrepreneur you have become?

Nursing taught me that, before any procedure, there is a person. There is a story, an insecurity, an expectation, and often an enormous amount of trust placed in that professional. That way of looking at the human being remains very much present in everything I do.
Nursing also taught me responsibility, precision, discipline, and, above all, that knowledge is never optional when we are dealing with people’s lives. I carry that with me into aesthetics to this day. For me, aesthetics is not only about appearance; it is about safety, naturalness, self-esteem, and respect for individuality.
As an entrepreneur, these same principles have taken on a broader dimension. Today, I do not only care for patients: I care for a team, an experience, a brand, and everything we have built within RB Clinic. Care remains the essence; it has simply expanded its reach.

2. Aesthetics can easily move toward standardization, but you advocate for respecting each patient’s identity. For you, where is the line between transforming someone and changing who they are? And how does this principle guide your decisions?

I believe the line is crossed when a procedure stops enhancing who that person is and begins trying to turn them into someone else.
I do not believe in an aesthetics of reproduction. I do not want every patient to have the same face, the same contours, or the same expression. Every face has a story, a structure, and an identity. My goal is to enhance individual features, balance proportions, and restore what may have been altered by time, weight loss, or other factors, without erasing the person’s essence.
Before thinking about a syringe, a device, or a technique, I ask myself: what does this person need to remain themselves, simply as the best version of who they are? That question guides many of my decisions.

3. RB Clinic has grown to represent much more than your own work. At what point did you realize that you were building a brand with an identity of its own, capable of existing beyond your name?

I think I realized it when I understood that people were no longer coming to RB Clinic simply because they were looking for me. They were coming because they were looking for an experience, a standard of care, a particular approach to aesthetics, and a feeling they had already come to associate with the brand.
In the beginning, RB Clinic was closely connected to my personal journey. Over time, we built values, processes, a team, a visual identity, and, above all, a culture.
Today, I see RB Clinic as an extension of my values, but not as something limited to me personally. That is very special to me. Because building a strong brand is precisely about making it capable of carrying its essence even when you are not involved in every detail.

4. As RB Clinic grew, you also had to take on other roles, including management, leadership, team development, and positioning. What has most transformed the way you see your own work since stepping into these roles?

I had to understand that growth does not mean doing everything on your own. Perhaps that has been one of the biggest changes in my journey.
When you are a professional, the outcome often depends directly on your own hands. When you become a leader, the outcome also depends on your ability to develop people, delegate, communicate, make decisions, and build a culture.
I learned that leadership is not about being above the team; it is about creating the conditions for people to grow alongside you.
I also began to see my work in a more strategic way. Today, I think not only about the procedure I am going to perform, but about the entire experience, the patient journey, the sustainability of the business, and the future of the brand.

5. You speak often about knowledge, staying up to date, and continuous evolution. Even after everything you have built, what still sparks your curiosity? What do you feel you still want to learn, explore, or accomplish?

I still feel incredibly curious. And perhaps that is one of the qualities that motivates me the most.
Aesthetics is constantly evolving. New technologies, new studies, new protocols, genetics, longevity, biostimulation, regeneration… all of these areas spark my interest. I like to understand not only what a technology does, but why it works, who it makes sense for, and how we can use it in an increasingly safe and personalized way.
But there is also a curiosity that goes beyond technique. I want to continue learning about management, leadership, behavior, innovation, and brand building.
And I still have many dreams. I want to expand RB Clinic, train professionals, share knowledge, and take my method and vision to other places.
I believe that evolution means refusing to become complacent with what has already worked.

6. When you look at everything you have built so far, what would you like people to remember when they think of you and RB Clinic?

I would like them to remember the feeling that we did everything with authenticity.
That RB Clinic was built with knowledge, dedication, care, and the courage to do things differently. That every patient who came through our doors felt seen, respected, and cared for as a person, rather than as a procedure.
Personally, I would like to be remembered as someone who was never afraid to dream big, but who never lost her essence along the way.
If one day someone looks at my journey and thinks that it is possible to build a successful career without giving up your values, family, care, and purpose, then I believe it will all have been worth it.
Because, in the end, what matters more than what we build is what we leave behind in people after we have passed through their lives.
