From Juiz de Fora to the heart of São Paulo (Brazil), Dr. Lúcio Romão’s journey is a portrait of someone who has never simply operated on bodies — but on dreams, stories, and rebirths.

In a country where beauty standards are in constant flux, a few names manage to stand out with elegance and precision — not by following trends, but by creating a distinct style, almost like a signature. Such is the case of Dr. Lúcio Romão, the plastic surgeon behind a new ideal of feminine beauty: natural, powerful, and unmistakably his. These are the “Lúcio-standard muses” — women with defined waists, elegant curves, harmonious proportions, and, above all, restored confidence.

Dr. Lúcio’s journey has all the makings of a film — complete with challenges, fresh starts, inspiration, and a clear purpose from the very beginning: to help women reclaim the most powerful version of themselves.

Originally from Juiz de Fora (Minas Gerais), he discovered his passion for medicine during his teenage years. But it was during medical school, while closely observing the impeccable work of a plastic surgeon trained at the renowned Ivo Pitanguy Institute, that he realized what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. “That moment left a mark on me. The delicacy of the movements, the attention to every detail... That’s when I understood plastic surgery wasn’t just about technique. It was art,” recalls Lúcio.

From that point on, he was determined to become one of the best. He moved to São Paulo, facing the pain of being away from family and the sacrifices of medical training. They were intense years — a residency in Plastic Surgery at the ABC School of Medicine, specializations at USP, and international experiences. A long path that now culminates in the opening of his clinic in the heart of São Paulo, at one of the city’s most prestigious addresses, between Faria Lima and JK.

But those expecting a distant or unapproachable doctor are in for a surprise. Dr. Lúcio makes it a point to listen, to welcome, and to truly understand what lies behind each aesthetic desire.

“I’ve treated patients who’ve spent their entire lives caring for others — children, parents, partners — and who, for the first time, are finally taking care of themselves. That moves me deeply. Plastic surgery, when done for the right reasons, is a restoration of self-love and identity.”

This care goes far beyond aesthetics. Complex cases — like that of a patient who was the victim of a facial dog bite — have only deepened his sense of purpose. “Reconstructing her face wasn’t just physical. It was emotional. Plastic surgery is about restoring dignity.”

And behind the clinic’s success is a partnership that goes far beyond the consultation room: Ana Fabro, Dr. Lúcio’s wife, also serves as the clinic’s concierge. More than managing schedules and experiences, Ana is responsible for making each visit a warm and memorable experience. “Ana isn’t just my support — she’s an essential part of everything. The way she cares for our patients, how she instinctively understands what each one needs, is truly unique. We built this together. And I’m grateful every single day to have her by my side — in life and in our work.”

Today, as head of the plastic surgery team at Hospital São Luiz Jabaquara and with a clinic that reflects his humanized vision of beauty, Dr. Lúcio represents a new generation of doctors — those who understand that a scalpel doesn’t just touch the skin; it touches stories.

And as for the muses — they are not celebrities or idealized characters. They are real women. Mothers, entrepreneurs, survivors. Each with her own scars, her own story, and her own strength. Women who have decided that, after everything they’ve been through, their beauty deserves the spotlight too.
