In a significant leadership shift, Eva Serrano has announced her departure as Global Brand President of Calvin Klein, concluding a transformative tenure that revitalized the iconic American label. Known for her strategic precision and deep industry insight, Serrano brought a global perspective to the brand, shaped by her two-decade career at Inditex, where she led operations across Asia before being recruited to PVH by CEO Stefan Larsson.

During her time at Calvin Klein, Serrano focused on unifying the brand’s global identity and restoring its relevance in high fashion. A major milestone was Calvin Klein’s highly anticipated return to New York Fashion Week after a six-year hiatus. For Serrano, this moment was both strategic and emotional.

“This is the place Calvin Klein belongs. We have a long history,” said Serrano, reflecting on the brand’s runway comeback.

Her efforts culminated in the appointment of Veronica Leoni as Calvin Klein’s first creative director since 2018 — a bold move signaling the brand’s renewed dedication to design excellence. Serrano emphasized Calvin Klein’s minimalist DNA while guiding it toward a more elevated, fashion-forward aesthetic.

“It was something everyone was waiting for — but we needed to come back at the right moment and give it the right image.”

Despite facing headwinds in the global market, including a slight decline in annual sales — down 1% to $3.86 billion in 2024 — Serrano’s leadership established structural clarity and long-term creative direction. Her initiatives were widely seen as laying the foundation for sustainable growth and relevance in a competitive luxury market.

As she exits, PVH Corp. has announced that David Savman, the company’s Global Head of Operations and Chief Supply Chain Officer, will take the helm. While it remains to be seen how the brand will evolve under new leadership, the imprint left by Eva Serrano is clear: a vision grounded in heritage, sharpened by timing, and elevated by strategy.

Her departure marks the end of a pivotal chapter in Calvin Klein’s story — one defined by bold returns, creative clarity, and a leader who knew exactly when the time was right to reintroduce Calvin Klein to the runway it once helped define.
