Miss São Paulo 2024, Milla Vieira, recalls the tension after a tsunami warning in Hawaii and shares a travel album with her fiancé

Miss Universe São Paulo 2024, Milla Vieira, experienced days of anxiety upon arriving in Hawaii with her fiancé, Canadian real estate agent Shawn Getty. What was supposed to be a romantic and peaceful trip began with a scare: the couple arrived on the island amid news of a possible tsunami triggered by an earthquake off the coast of Russia.

"The first few days were really tense. We arrived with many news reports circulating about the tsunami risk, so it was impossible not to feel anxious," Milla shared. Despite the uncertainty at the beginning of the trip, the alerts were managed and the situation was normalized by local authorities.

With the scare behind them, Milla enjoyed the following days soaking up the tropical climate alongside her fiancé. The couple stayed amidst paradisiacal landscapes, captured romantic moments on cinematic beaches, and savored traditional Hawaiian cuisine.

“Hawaii is magical. The energy, the people, the food, everything is so intense. It’s impossible not to fall in love with this place,” said the model, who shared her travel photo album, delighting fans and followers.

The trip took place just a few months before the couple’s wedding, which will be held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Milla has been personally dedicating herself to the preparations for the ceremony, which promises to be straight out of a fairy tale.
