Zendaya steps into a surreal world of pop art and luxury in Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign, marking the grand finale of the maison’s iconic collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. Celebrating 20 years since their first groundbreaking partnership, the new collection reintroduces Murakami’s signature smiling cherries—this time with a playful, contemporary twist.
Photographed by Inez & Vinoodh on the sun-drenched Mediterranean coast, Zendaya stuns in pieces from the Resort 2025 collection, surrounded by oversized cherry sculptures that nod to Murakami’s whimsical aesthetic. The visuals are vibrant, bold, and unmistakably fresh—mirroring the evolution of both the artist and the fashion house over the past two decades.

The collection spans over 70 items, from classic handbags and shoes to travel accessories and collector’s pieces like a bicycle and a beach chair—each adorned with the cheerful cherry motif. It’s a tribute to artistic legacy and fashion’s power to reinvent itself.
Zendaya’s look also hints at her next role: a fringe haircut inspired by Ronnie Spector, whom she will portray in an upcoming biopic directed by Barry Jenkins. And eagle-eyed fans noticed a subtle personal touch— a small “t” tattoo under her arm, believed to honor her fiancé Tom Holland, who reportedly has a matching “z”.

More than a campaign, this is a celebration of storytelling through style—where nostalgia meets innovation, and where fashion becomes art.
The Louis Vuitton x Murakami Cherry Collection launches globally on May 22, 2025.
