The Carolina Herrera collection begins with a study in black and white, with a sharp focus on an element that accentuates each look. A precisely tailored high-waisted pant, paired with an oversized floral top in textured cotton. An immaculate dress in optical white lace and guipure. A stunning organza and polka-dot coat with flowers in contrasting sizes, worn with a skirt in the reverse color. A strapless dress with a profusion of ruched polka dots and handmade flowers, offering an optimistic and playful take on black and white.
The collection then blooms into color, with a rigorously edited palette of four bold shades. Creative Director Wes Gordon strives for perfection in each piece through the most precise choices of color, cut, and silhouette, with an exacting dedication to graphic glamour. The joyful approach to dressing applies to both daywear and eveningwear, from a perfectly tailored cotton dress with exaggerated puff sleeves in Herrera red to the striking silk faille gown in a vision of Delphinium blue. One cannot help but smile at a relaxed knit dress in Happy pink or a tulle creation in Taxi Cab yellow.
Matching handbags and delicate jewelry bring a playful and irreverent touch to dressing, showcasing the unparalleled expertise of our New York-based atelier. Adorned with yellow roses in their hair, models move through the circular Sunken Garden installation (1964) by American sculptor Isamu Noguchi; an ode to perfection in simplicity that resonates in this collection, where polka dots playfully converse with the concentric circles of the sculpture.
