With this limited edition, N°5 breaks free for the first time from its historical bottle and reinterprets the most legendary drop in the history of CHANEL perfume. It’s a surprising experience with a minimalist glass bottle design, like a drop of perfume, whose transparency reflects purity.

Composition
Less abstract than its predecessors, the composition of N°5 L’EAU makes the citrus notes radiate. At the forefront, lemon, mandarin, and orange are elevated to the sky by aldehydes. In a second breath, we perceive an abundance of flowers. The rose blends with airy jasmine and a fraction of ylang-ylang, more modern than ever. Behind this floral whirlwind lies an unprecedented nervousness for N°5, born from vetiver and cedar accompanied by sweet musk notes. N°5 has never been so fresh.
Inspiration
The inspiration is the audacity and freedom of Olivier Polge, Perfumer-Creator of Maison CHANEL, who reinvented N°5 in 2016, utilizing each material to understand its true role and create a new balance: an ideal of freshness called N°5 L'EAU. It is also the impertinence, the freedom, of a bottle that breaks free from conventions to assume the elliptical lines of a drop and proclaim a manifesto of design and modernity. It is the essence of its time in all its freshness, simplicity, and vitality.
