Ralph Lauren has once again demonstrated its prowess in merging fashion with sports, unveiling the official uniforms for Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This marks the ninth season that Ralph Lauren has taken on the prestigious role of Official Outfitter for Team USA.
The latest collection introduces a contemporary edge to timeless American styles, capturing the essence of Paris and the grand tradition of the Olympics. The uniforms feature a range of innovative designs, crafted with attention to detail and sustainability.
David Lauren, Chief Branding and Innovation Officer at Ralph Lauren Corporation, expressed the brand's pride in defining the visual identity of the American athletes. "Ralph Lauren is profoundly honored to shape the look of the American delegation as they represent our country in such a celebrated event," he said. "For nearly six decades, Ralph Lauren has been a pioneer at the intersection of style and sport. This summer, Paris will be the stage where fashion and sport converge, creating a thrilling spectacle for a global audience."
The Opening Ceremony uniform is a standout, featuring a single-breasted wool blazer accented with red and white tipping, a striped oxford shirt, and tapered jeans, all complemented by classic suede buck shoes. For the Closing Ceremony, athletes will sport a moto-style jacket paired with white denim and a customizable Polo shirt from Ralph Lauren's Create Your Own program. Every piece in the uniform is proudly made in the United States.
The villagewear collection, designed for athletes' everyday wear, includes an array of pieces from varsity jackets and Polo shirts to vintage-inspired rugby shirts and the iconic American flag sweater. Bold graphics, vibrant color-blocking, and classic stripes are prominent features, reinforcing the spirited and patriotic theme of the collection.
Sustainability is at the forefront of this collection, with materials such as recycled polyester and USA-grown Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified wool. The 2024 lineup also introduces Ralph Lauren’s first-ever 100% Recycled Cotton Polo Shirt, utilizing innovative NFW Clarus technology.
Along with the official uniforms, the brand launched a collection inspired by the American team, showcasing a strong sense of patriotism.
