Maison Dior once again enchanted the haute couture scene with its collection for the 2023/24 season, evoking the essence of goddesses and bringing forth a connection with the art of Marta Roberti. Under the creative direction of Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior celebrates femininity in all its forms, delving into the world of divine archetypes to create a truly inspiring collection.

The art of Marta Roberti, which explores the iconography of goddesses and their association with animals, served as a starting point for the stunning conception presented on the runway. Maria Grazia Chiuri found inspiration in the expressiveness of poses and movements of these mythological figures, seeking to capture the unique essence of each goddess. The result is a perfect fusion between Roberti's artistic work and the mastery of Dior's haute couture ateliers.

The collaboration between Dior and the Chanaya School of Craft resulted in magnificent embroideries that adorned the runway, creating an immersive environment filled with subtle details. The Chanakya ateliers in Mumbai, India, were responsible for the intricate embroideries adorning the garments, adding a touch of excellence and precision.

The garments in the Haute Couture collection are a true ode to the union of dress and body, exploring haute couture techniques that elevate craftsmanship to a new level of sophistication. Vertical silhouettes, highlighted by elements such as tunics, peplums, capes, and stoles, come to life in perfect harmony with flat sandals, providing an elegant balance between tradition and modernity.

Inspired by classical statues and architectural columns, the structured coats feature innovative folds below the bust line, giving them a sculptural sense of movement. The iconic technique of pleating, synonymous with haute couture, is skillfully incorporated, especially in the sleeves of tailored coats, adding a touch of delicacy and refinement. The predominantly white color palette is accentuated by shades of beige, silver, light gold, and black, while pearls, intertwined with silver threads, lend a subtle and captivating shimmer.

The careful choice of fabrics, such as wool and cashmere, reinforces the timeless proposition of the collection, highlighting the elegance found in the simplicity of draping techniques molded directly onto the body. Each piece is a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication to perfection that are trademarks of Dior.

In a flawless sequence of white, the collection conveys a sense of purity and aesthetic refinement.
